High Gloss Front Only is when uv coating is only applied to one side (side 1) of a printed piece and the opposite side remains uncoated, the uncoated side can be written on. High Gloss on Both Sides is when a shiny uv coating is applied on both sides of the card. Spot Gloss can be applied to selected portions of the piece, while keeping the rest a matte finish. Matte coating unlike gloss coating, matte coating gives a more diffuse, duller sheen that you can write on. Matte is also applied under Spot Gloss Coatings.
